The Reed Academy Band Program provides professional instruction and mentoring for all 6th grade students who want to play a musical instrument. In addition, we proudly support the missions of Reed Academy, our surrounding community, and Aldine ISD Performing Arts.
Students can choose from the following instruments: flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, french horn, trombone, baritone, tuba or percussion. Band classes are scheduled in like-instrument groups that maximize student achievement. The 120 strong Reed Academy “Cardinal” Band performs in front of more than 2,000 audience members each year. Last year alone, the Reed Band travelled to Grantham Academy, Thorne Stadium, Deer Brook Mall, The Woodlands Pavilion and H&H Ranch.
Reed Sports Organization
When you make the decision to attend Ruby Reed Academy, you choose to be associated with a dynamic family. Choosing the perfect school to jump-start your academic and athletic talent is a serious responsibility, especially if you are seeking a comfortable, yet challenging academic setting. All of your needs will be met here at Reed Academy with our “Academics through Athletics” program. This program was started over three years ago by Coach Hayes and has been going strong. It is his belief that playing sports teaches discipline on and off the playing field.
The Young Inventors Club (YIC) ia a 5th grade program that guides students through the inventive process.
